I started stand-up 8 years ago as a total novice. Since then, I produced and performed in a sold-out show called The Muslim Otherhood (not a religious group, just a pun) at QED, and taken the mic at Laughing Buddha, Performing Arts Mosaic, the PIT, NYCC, NYCF, Eastville, Easy Lover, and more. My comedy blends raw humor with real talk, always with a bold, witty, high-glam twist.
The first time I got on stage, I thought about how often, I’d been told to be careful, quiet & mind my reputation carefully—especially growing up in a tight-knit immigrant community. But in that moment, it felt good to be loud, truthful, and uninterrupted by warnings about the reputational hazards of being real. I also share my jokes online, where I’ve racked up over 1 million views worldwide—through lip gloss, radical truth-telling, and a playful activist streak that says what needs to be said (but make it funny).
